BACOPA caroliniana

Attractive blue flowers, Summer. Round mint scented leaves, which float upon the water surface. Shade tolerant. Depth 3 - 4cm above the rim of the pot.

 

BACOPA monniera

The native bacopa is a smaller plant than the exotic species. It has small white flowers in Summer and Autumn, and will withstand light frosts. Depth 3 - 4cm above the rim of the pot.

A submerged free-floating species with finely divided leaves. Provides shelter for fish eggs, and snails, assists in clearing green water. Free floating.

HYGROPHILA difformis Water Wisteria

Finely divided leaves form rosettes on the stems of this attractive oxygenator. Purplish flowers are borne in the leaf axil. Stem length can grow from 40-80cm. Depth 5 - 10cm above the rim of the pot.

Floating oval leaves with red undersides, small yellow flowers emergent in Summer. Depth 3 - 4cm above the rim of the pot.

 

LUDWIGIA arcurata Needle Primrose

Small needle-like reddish/green leaves creeping along the surface. Bright yellow flowers. Depth 3 - 4cm above the rim of the pot.

 

LUDWIGIA Palustris

Leaves are smaller than the Ludwigia repens. Bright green oval leaves and red undersides. Small yellow flowers. Depth 3 - 4cm above the rim of the pot.

MYRIOPHYLLUM papillosum - Water Milfoil

Small green pine-needle like leaves carried on ascending stems. Depth 20 - 25cm.
